This role presents an exciting opportunity for experienced software engineers to grow their careers within the Consumer and Community Banking division, focused on Wealth Management at JPMorgan Chase. As a Software Engineer III specializing in UI React development, you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and stable market-leading technology products.

Your responsibilities include executing software solutions, designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex technical problems. The role requires producing high-quality, secure production code and architectural design artifacts while ensuring adherence to design constraints. You will analyze large and diverse datasets to drive continuous improvements in applications and systems.

Proactive identification of hidden issues in data and software is essential to improve code quality and architecture. You will also contribute actively to engineering communities by exploring new technologies, fostering best practices, and supporting team collaboration.

Key Technical Skills:

React, JavaScript, Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, Application Resiliency, Security principles, System design, Application development, Debugging, Testing, Cloud technologies, Knowledge of technical disciplines like AI, ML, mobile development

Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering principles
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience working with modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Strong proficiency in coding with React and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies including CI/CD
• Comprehensive understanding of software applications and technical processes in one or more related technical disciplines (e.g. cloud, AI, ML)

Preferred:

• Proficiency with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud-based technologies
• Ability to mentor junior engineers
